I can't make a call what's wrong?

1) Check your interent to make sure it is up. 2) Did you follow the steps for installation by connecting the power last? 3) You may need to reboot your MTA-3328 device by unplugging and waiting 5 seconds then reconnect the power. 4) Have you setup your calling plan with VoiceNetLink? 5) Make sure your DSL provider has the DNS Server Voice Compatible.

The Quality of the Call is bad what's wrong

1) Is the speed of your internet at least 256K or higher? 2) If you speed is below 256K then you can optimize your device by going to www.myaccountcenter.net and going to Manage Features, and at the bottom of the screen click on link, once in that screen you can optimize you device for slower speed internet connect.

My Computer is not working with the Device

Your computer must be connected to the LAN port of the Device. Or you must connet the telephone adapter through a router.

How do I make international calls?

If you are calling from the USA or have your Device setup for US dialing then you would add 011 to the number Example Calling Panama 011-507-555-1234. Any other country you will need to have the country code and the city code and then the number calling China 011-832-555-1234 would connect you to a HongKong telephone number.

Do I get charged extra if I exceed my calling Plan?

Yes, you are charged a perminute amount for any calls exceeding your calling plan. Make sure that you are using the correct plan for the amount of minutes you use to save money on your calling.

What is the difference between a business plan and residential plan?

Residential is designed for average users of long distance services, limited calling. Business Plans are designed for business with high volume of calling.

I have the WiFi Portable Unit can I use it when I am at a location that has a user name and password to access the WiFi?

Yes, you would follow these instructions: 1) Menu 2) Select NetWork Mode 3) Select PPPoe 4) Select PPPoe Name 5) Clear the Field 6) Enter new username 7) Select Back 8) Select PPPoe PWD 9) Enter Password 10) Select back until unit initializes 11) Start Making Calls

Will I be charged for calls to U.S. toll-free numbers?

If you have an unlimited plan to the U.S./Canada, calls to U.S. toll-free numbers are included in your plan and free. If you have a monthly minute plan, calls to U.S. toll-free numbers will be deducted from your monthly minutes (except if you have a minute plan to India, then calls to U.S. toll-free numbers will be charged at a per-minute rate). If you have a Pay-As-You-Go plan, you will be charged a per minute rate for calls to U.S. toll-free numbers.

How many monthly inbound minutes are included with a toll-free phone number?

If you have a monthly calling plan with a toll-free number you are charged $0.49 per minute, Europe Toll Free numbers receive each month a credit of 100 minutes. Once this credit is used, you will be charged a per-minute rate for inbound calls. Any unused amount of this credit does not rollover to the next month. Normal monthly Credit is 100 inbound Minutes for Europe Toll Free only. USA Toll free numbers are billed each minute at $0.49.

Do I need a router?

If your telephone adapter includes a router, then you do not need an additional router. If your telephone adapter does not include a router and you wish to share your Internet connection simultaneously between the phone service and an Internet-enabled computer, then you must add a router to your network. The telephone adapter is determined by the router model number MTA3328-2 is the adapter that requires a router. MTA 3328-2R is the adapter that does not require a router. Model Numbers are located on the underside of the telephone adapter. MTA 3328-2 without the R require a router to operate.

What kind of phone number can I have with my service?

Depending on where you live, you may be able to choose a U.S. local or toll-free number or a U.K toll-free number. Please contact your service provider to find out what kinds of numbers are available in your area.

What is a toll-free number and why would I need one?

Having a toll-free number with your service allows someone within a specific country to be able to call you for free. For example, if you have a toll-free U.S. phone number, then anyone in the U.S. can call you for free no matter where you are located -- even if you are outside the U.S.

Can a person outside of the U.S. call a U.S. toll-free number for free?

No. Only calls made within the U.S. to a U.S. toll-free number are free.

Can a person outside of the U.K. call a U.K. toll-free number for free?

No. Only calls made within England , Scotland , Wales , and Northern Ireland to a U.K. toll-free number are free.

Will the service work during a power outage?

If you have an alternate or backup power supply for your computer network and your broadband Internet connection remains up, then you will still be able to make or receive calls with your service.

What is Pay-As-You-Go?

If you would prefer not to purchase a monthly plan, Pay-As-You-Go is the option for you. Simply add funds to your account and make calls. Outgoing as well as inbound calls will deduct from your cash balance according to your rate plan.

What happens when I make calls outside of my calling plan?

If you have a monthly calling plan, you can make calls to any location not included in your plan. If you make such a call and have minutes remaining in your monthly plan, the call will be deducted from those minutes. If you have already used all of your monthly minutes, the cost of the call will be deducted from your cash balance. If you have a pay-as-you-go plan, there are no out-of-plan destinations. You will be charged per-minute rates for all of your calls, and the cost will be deducted from your cash balance. Cell phone calls to various Countries are billed according to rate plan. Minutes are deducted if available at a ratio according to rates. Example Cell phone calls to Panama are at $0.17 per minute or minutes deducted from plan at a rate of 6 to 1.

What is a telephone adapter?

A telephone adapter is a device about the same size as an answering machine that allows you to connect your phone to your broadband Internet connection.

I already have a telephone adapter such as a Links System. Can I use it with the service?

No. At this time, you must use the telephone adapter that you were provided (or that you purchased from VoiceNetLink) when you signed up for the service. Only Iomedia Telephone Adapters work using our service.

Do I use my own phone?

Yes. Plug your phone (cordless or wired) into the correct port on the back of the telephone adapter. It may take a few moments for your adapter to connect to your broadband network. Then, simply pick up your phone and dial when you hear the dial tone.

Can I use a cordless phone?

Yes. Any standard phone will work with the service. Feel free to plug in your cordless phone and walk around your house while you talk

Do I need any additional accessories or equipment to start making calls?

To use the service, you need a broadband Internet connection, a telephone adapter, a telephone, and, in some cases, a router.

What is a MAC address and where can I find it?

A MAC address acts like a serial number; every device connected to a network must have a MAC address. It can be found on a label on the bottom of your telephone adapter.

Do I need a computer to use the service?

You do not use a computer to make or receive calls. You will, however, need a computer with Web browser software to use the online account center. (We recommend using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher.)

What is "broadband"?

A broadband Internet connection is a cable modem, DSL, T1, T3, LAN, WAN or any other highspeed, "always on" connection. If you have a modem in your computer that needs to dial an access number to connect to the Internet, then you do not have a broadband connection.

Is there any software to download?

No. You do not need to download software from the Internet to use the service. A computer is not required to make or receive calls.

Can I retrieve my VoiceMail messages from anywhere in the world?

Yes. You can retrieve your VoiceMail messages online from anywhere in the world. Login to www.myaccountcenter.net and click the VoiceMail button on the account center home page. Follow the instructions for downloading and listening to your messages. See the VoiceMail support page for further information.

If I get the USA Toll Free Number am I charged per minute when someone calls me?

Yes, the minutes are billed at $0.49 per minute. Similar to a USA Toll Free number inbound minutes are charged.
